When people think about the accident, they immediately think of britt and her precious family. It’s only natural, right? Over the past year, I have found it interesting that people don’t think about Sandy, Jerry, or Spencer more often. After all, they had Britt for 38 years. They’ve known Brittany since her first breath. But yet, Spencer seems so forgotten. So, it saddened me and oftentimes, angered me. Imagine your husband with tears rolling down his face telling you “I feel so left behind.” If I ever wondered what a dagger through the heart felt like, now I know. I can’t assume the reasoning behind anyone’s actions or efforts, but what I will tell you is this: my in-laws lost their baby girl; my husband lost his only sister. The pain is unimaginable and the grief will never go away. My purpose for the rest of my life is to love my people and constantly remind them they will never be easily forgotten.
